Looking for A Story | CASTING CALL
( If you could re-blog this, that’d be so awesome for us. Especially if there any interesting people that follow you that you think may be applicable)
Hey! So feel like I haven’t updated you in awhile. I’m having a million new ideas/directions with this everyday so it’s really building into something I’m psyched on!
So what I’m working on is a new web series. I’m thinking about getting at least 15-17 “episodes”, and linking them together with “commercials” that we do here. You guys are the episodes. What the episodes are, are profiles of ‘ordinary people’ going on extra ordinary adventures. Video content from hikes, places you’ve traveled, really creative stuff you’ve done, anything that can have some kind of inspirational/optimistiv vibe. The episodes would be connected through these commercials. The commercials would be scripted, creative promo videos for ‘Nomadic’ itself. Combined with those two, I’d string together about an hour long video…that would be a documentary of ordinary people.
Now as far the web goes, I’m looking to make it into a series. I’d like to release 2-4min videos every week online. Each of those “episodes” would be the individual commercial/profile of whoever we’d talk about that week.
For example- once a video of “Molly in Kenya” comes out, it’d flow to this “couch kid” video we’re planning up now that promotes going out and getting active. The end of that promo video would string together and transition to a video of these three friends of mine taking a road trip from Atlanta, to Denver, to San Fran, to Colorodo Springs. And so on, and on. Each episode will transition into the next. I’m still in my ‘casting call’ stage I guess. I’ve been working on getting as many interesting people for episodes that we can. So, please, if you know anyone who might be interested, tell them to throw us an email at nomadic.getradical@gmail.com
Sooooo, now, any chance you’ve heard of Dropbox? It’s this free way of easily sharing files from your computer to mine. If you download it, you’d be able to put any content you have, drag in into a folder on your desktop, and it’d be in a folder in my desktop. Visa versa. I could send you things that way as well. I’d love to hear what you’re thinking! If this takes off, you’ll be a huge contributor to getting it off the ground.
